Over the past two years, we’ve been on a creative journey with Musalaha, one shaped not just by design and technology, but by a deeper calling towards reconciliation. What began as a collaboration has grown into something far more meaningful, a shared effort to bring stories of healing and transformation to the world.
Out of that journey, the Musalaha Academy was born, a fully integrated online learning platform designed to equip individuals and communities in the practice of reconciliation.
This has been far more than a standard website build. Together, we’ve created a rich, immersive learning experience, bringing together video content, written resources, interactive modules, guided reflection, and personality based insights to help people engage deeply.
Behind the scenes, the platform reflects the depth of its purpose. Secure authentication, personalised learning journeys, progress tracking, note taking, and integrated communication all work together to create a seamless experience, supporting not just learning, but transformation.
The heart of the Academy is not simply to inform, but to form, creating space for people to wrestle with difficult questions and grow in their capacity to become peacemakers.
A Journey of Creativity and Reconciliation
It doesn’t take much to look around the world right now and feel the weight of it all.
Conflict, division, fear, whole communities carrying deep pain. At times it can feel like things are only heading one way. But even in the middle of that, there are people choosing a different path, quietly and courageously working towards peace.
Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers.” Not the peacekeepers, but those willing to step into tension and bring healing. That kind of work is costly, but it carries a different kind of hope.
And that’s exactly what we’ve seen through our partnership with Musalaha.
A Story That Began in Tension
Musalaha was founded in 1990 by Dr Salim Munayer during the First Intifada. What began as an experimental initiative brought together Palestinians and Israelis, along with their religious leaders, to explore whether genuine dialogue and understanding were even possible.
Not surface level conversations, but real, honest engagement, the kind that challenges identity and deeply held narratives.
What started as a field test has grown into a long standing movement of reconciliation across borders, cultures, and faiths. It’s grassroots, relational, and deeply human.
Creativity in the Service of Peace
It’s been a real privilege for Vine to walk alongside the Musalaha team. Our role has been to help bring clarity and expression to their story, shaping a refreshed brand, developing visual content, and building the Musalaha Academy.
It’s a growing hub of resources designed to equip people around the world with tools for reconciliation, grounded in Scripture and shaped by lived experience.
You can explore it here:

The heart behind it is simple, to take what has been learned in one of the most divided regions in the world, and offer it to others seeking peace.
A Shared Journey
Maaike from Musalaha put it beautifully:
“At Musalaha, we believe that reconciliation is not just an abstract dream or lofty goal, but a shared journey towards liberation, equality, and redemption. Israelis and Palestinians who transform their identity and narrative are a source of hope, even in the most challenging times.”
That word, journey, matters.
Reconciliation isn’t quick or easy. It’s slow, relational work that reshapes how we see others and ourselves. And in that process, creativity plays a powerful role, helping tell stories, bring visibility to hope, and give form to something deeply human.
Maaike from Musalaha writes:
“Without Matt from Vine, the Musalaha Academy would simply not exist in the way it does today. He elevated what we envisioned and helped bring it to life in a way beyond our expectations. Our mission of reconciliation is not only safe in Vine Design’s hands, but amplified and deepened as our missions align in faith and Christ.”
This has always been the heart behind Vine, to serve organisations doing meaningful work and help amplify their impact.
