Globally, over 20 million people are trapped in human trafficking, with 80% being women and children. Love Calcutta Arts (LCA) offers hope, providing a way out and restoring dignity. LCA employs around 30 young women, aged 17 to 45, who undergo three months of training before crafting quality goods. For these women, LCA is more than a workplace—it’s a family and a lifeline. They gain financial independence, self-worth, and the opportunity to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.

The LCA brand is built on a simple idea, Free by Design. Freedom here is not just a concept, it is something made. Women step out of exploitation into a space where creativity becomes restoration, learning skills like bookbinding, printing, and textiles. The identity blends traditional craft with a contemporary feel, both handmade and full of life. Hand drawn typography adds a playful, human touch, paired with bold colours and expressive illustrations. Inspired by local floral forms like the Shiuli, it reflects renewal, hope, and new beginnings.
